๐ฅ Naming newsletters is hard! - Issue #1

Hi ๐
How are you doing?
I know you were probably not expecting an email from me, so let me explain whatโs going on: this is yet another of my experiments.
Iโve been thinking a lot about the fact that with social networks we are so busy sharing what we are eating and who we are dating that we have forgotten to do the most important thing: share what we are thinking.
I also like the idea of keeping in touch with my friends regularly by sending them a list of what Iโve been reading and doing recently.
So, after toying with the idea of a personal newsletter for quite some time, Iโve decided, at last, to give it a go.
The idea itโs simple: every now and then (and no more than twice a month) I will send you a super short email with things Iโve found online that have made me think or laugh or that have upset me.
Thatโs it. Nothing particularly long or complicated.
I will run it for some time and see what the reactions are.
I hope you enjoy it. ๐
PS: Iโm starting with a small group of 50 friends. If you think someone else should read it, please send them this link.
PPS: If you never want to hear from me again, hit the unsubscribe button at the bottom. I wonโt be offended.
What is making me think
๐ Very large scale study suggests itโs carbs, not fats, that increase the risk of premature death. (Also, Iโve found an incredible source for all things nutrition.)
๐ค Mental models, or how Iโve decided to ignore 99% of information on productivity and focused on these 5 instead.
๐ค An interesting article that explains why willpower simply doesnโt work if you want to change your life. As someone who has given up cigarettes after 9 years, I canโt agree more with the author of the article.
๐น Alain de Botton makes an eloquent, witty case to move beyond snobbery to find true pleasure in our work. Is success always earned? Is failure?
What I'm reading
Iโm currently reading โHomo Deusโ, the sequel of the highly successful โSapiensโ, by Yuval Noah Harari. I might be slightly biased in my judgment because I ABSOLUTELY loved โSapiensโ but I genuinely believe โHomo Deusโ is a great book. Check it out if you are interested in what the future is likely going to look like.
Tweets that made me laugh

Nice recap.

For nerds only.
